Stephen was born in Richmond, VA, the child of a young woman and her boyfriend. Brought into this world unexpectedly with parents unprepared, his future had a Providential destiny. Given up for adoption as an infant, his mother desired a traditional and stable home for her firstborn to be raised. Stephen then grew up as a military kid as his father served as a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot and his mother was a teacher before becoming a military spouse, stay-at-home mom and homeschooler.

Stephen traveled around the globe as a kid, living and visiting countries like Spain, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and Chile. His adoptive parents were blessed with another child, a daughter quite a few years younger than Stephen. His parents chose to home-school them both throughout their K-12 years, which was a decision based on a life of constantly moving and wanting to instill their values into their kids. Upon graduation from high-school, Stephen went directly into the workforce full-time, starting in the Defense sector through a unique door being opened by a family friend. He spent over a decade working around the globe in support of the U.S. Military and federal government, with the highlight being deployed as a civilian to Afghanistan.

At age 27, Stephen and Krystina had a whirlwind marriage in Krystina’s hometown in southern California. Having been married on a Friday, Stephen began a unique role in Washington D.C. the following Monday. In less than 48 hrs after his wedding, he and Krystina moved to northern Virginia. A few years later, Stephen unexpectedly transitioned from the Defense sector into a technology consultant.

Stephen loves his Krystina immensely, is full of expectation in the blessing of fatherhood, and enjoys spending time traveling, trying new foods, and exploring quaint mountain towns around the country.

Krystina was born on Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California, the daughter of a U.S. Air Force test pilot and a father who was a senior engineer within the Defense sector. Her mother gained recognition as one of the first female fighter pilots in the U.S. Air Force, and her father rose to the ranks of leading the engineering team for the U.S. Air Force F-16 airplane. She grew up in a small picturesque mountain town, where the mornings and evenings were taken up caring for a variety of pets, namely horses, goats, rabbits, dogs, cats.

At age four, she became a big sister to a beautiful little baby girl who would grow up to become her best friend. As her parents progressed in demanding careers, Krystina was training in ballet and equestrian sports. She and her sister were both homeschooled, and grew up involved in their local church community. In her late teens, Krystina dreamed of being married one day, a dream that became a reality when she met Stephen. An excitement arrived because of this blossoming long-distance relationship, but at the same time a longing to stay with the familiar.

In a naive and divinely-inspired whirlwind wedding, she and Stephen got married when she was only 20. Less than 48 hours after entering into a marriage covenant, her whole life changed. A totally new lifeon the East Coast, a husband, and a journey she never expected was on the horizon.

She is excited for the blessing of motherhood, as her story unfolds from just desiring being a wife to feeling safe and secure enough to pursue motherhood. She loves hosting friends and family to whom she serves the most amazing delicious meals in their peaceful home; loves beautiful gardens, travel, and exploring new places with her beloved husband, Stephen.
